I started this little small business right around National Pandemic LOCKDOWN, I worked at a Mental Health Advocacy Program , the mall folding clothes, and was studying to become whatever my parents deemed as a successful future, a doctor, a lawyer. By the time lockdown hit, I was laid off all my current places of work, as well as put school on halt. I spent the next few months taking care of family. However, without any income I soon found my life turned upside down in poverty. Not able to pay rent, groceries , or the general cost of living, I decided to use all the money I had available, taking a gamble; a last resort. I started off selling my art pieces, but quickly was discouraged by the amount of work it took. After months of trying, and lots of affordable $0.50 Ramen Dinners, I gave up- Just as well as the rest of the world. The world was falling apart, the stigma grew , moral of the entire world was at a all time low.
I remember my mom being laid off her job due to the stigmas of the outside world.
I don't ever want anyone to feel as of all hope is lost. I wanted to make the world a better place with one smile at a time. I restarted by shop, but with new intentions. I wanted to spread joy and love to those who need it. I want to at least remind people of the smiles that once was despite the current situations of the world. I want to remind everyone who is out there, that "Everything is going to be , Okki<3 " - Jeannie Lynn
